BYUB Morning Discussion

*warning - im not sure but the following post may seem a bit sacrilegious... but the conversation in question occured at BYU Broadcasting.... so its probably not.*

Background : Boss man, co-worker, and me are sitting here talking about KSL (Channel 5 in Utah, NBC) and how the church owns it. Boss man used to work there, so he was telling us all about it and how they don't play SNL and stuff. Then co asks how KSL can swing airing all the sessions of conference because that is 2 whole days and he can't imagine that the advertisements they show between sessions and stuff bring in a whole lot of revenue. Enter Conversation---

Boss- "Well think about it. What airs on Saturday and Sunday afternoons in the first place?
[dot dot dot... cricket cricket]
Me - "uh.. golf? maybe?
Boss - "Exactly, they don't get a lot of people watching anyways. Honestly, General Conference weekend probably gets more traffic than usual.
Co - "Well I just think to make a little money, since the ads are kinda lacking maybe the prophets and apostles should just start endorsing products....
[cue emily dyyyying with laughter]
Co continues - "Think about it. President Monson speaking, all of a sudden he pauses and says 'I could really go for a Dasani water right now. whips out a water bottle, takes a swig, and sets on the podium"
[cue emily/boss laughing harder]
Me - " or,  I just want to thank everyone for coming and remind you to drive home safe. And remember its best to be prepared, so stop at your nearest Chevron and fill up on gas today!"

And now I just keep picturing it, over and over and over again. It makes me smile/laugh everytime. Sometimes work is fun.

(I could really go for a Dasani right now)

Ok so maybe a little sacrilegious...
